Happy Halloween, Kids
Happy Halloween, kids!
If you haven't noticed, we just hard-launched a redesign of our website (my impulsive idea), and since it's my job to do all things website, I've been working around the clock for the past week or so, trying to debug everything. As with most things when you're running a small business, it's a work in progress. Did I study computer science in school? lol, no. So it's been a bit of crash course in coding and figuring out how to hack Shopify's internal limitations. Am I fishing for complements about how good the website looks? Well, yes! Please pat me on the back and tell all your friends to check it out. She is soo impressive! I want to buy all of pretti.cool's products now! That being said, if you do come across a bug I've missed, shoot us a line, explain the issue you found, and I might just reward you with a special discount code for your trouble.
For this newsletter's travel guide, we are covering New York (and Brooklyn). Many thanks to Greg Tate, who might as well be family, and is our go-to source for all things food in NY. We're sad, because he and his wife just moved to Seattle for a job, so we'll miss them when we're there in a few weeks, but I definitely want to check out some of the places on his list that we haven't been to, yet.
Jeff and I will be in NY to walk a trade show we're thinking of doing next year -- BDNY. We've not done the best job of advertising it, but we enjoy working with hotels and interior designers on larger-scale custom projects (I'm starting to post more about those projects here), and we were thinking that this would be an opportunity to connect with more designers in the hospitality or interior design industries. Have any of you been before? If so, we'd love to hear your thoughts -- tell us more here.
Cheers for now,
Kathrine
